He has learned from his slip-ups and and has believed in himself through it all. He has kept a good mindset and is determined to succeed. I think that he is right in this aspect, not to let mistakes get you down. You should strive to be successful and and continue to be the best you can be.
I agree with you because everyone fails at least once in their life. All failure does is motivate them to succeed.
