I believe that people made a big deal about the "Control" verse. Kendrick being named artist of the year is a big step for him and I really think he deserves it with the hard work and dedication he puts it. His emotions reflect throughout his music and speaks to people.
Question : What do you think about Kendrick's Verse in "Control"?

Should've known your article was going to be about K.Dot but anyway, I guess you can say that Kendrick deserves "Artist of the Year / Rapper of the Year" *cough cough* Drake... but I think that the Control verse was just a way of Kendrick expressing how he feels about coming up in the industry. My initial reaction was a little taken back but after reading the lyrics, my view on it changed. He's just trying to do better than good enough, word to Papi.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand what you are saying! Kendrick has put in work just as much as these other artist, if not more. He has made a huge come up and will definitely prosper in the industry.
